Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, will face Dominick Reyes at the upcoming UFC 247 pay-per-view event on Feb. 8, 2020 inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
“Bones” has been very busy as of late, as it will be title fight number four in 14 months, getting him closer to a complete wipe out of the Light Heavyweight division, and a possible move up to Heavyweight.
In Reyes, though, he’ll be facing an undefeated (12-0, 6-0 UFC) combatant with comparable size and a bit more knockout power in his punches. And not to mention, Reyes claims he’s been training for a fight against Jones since day one of his MMA career.
But Jones has been there and done that, circled the block a few times and has taken out all of the old, and most of the new, challengers at 205 pounds. So there likely won’t be anything “The Devastator” can offer that will surprise the longtime champ.
In the co-main event, women’s Flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, will defend her title against Katlyn Chookagian, who has won five or her last six inside the Octagon. Also on the card, Ilir Latifi will move up to the 265-pound division to face Derrick Lewis.
