Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Claressa Shields is one of the most decorated boxers in history, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and one of just seven athletes in history to unify all four of boxing’s major titles. Better yet, “T-Rex” is just 24 years of age, which makes her recent talks of crossing over into the Octagon more realistic, and she already has her sights set on double-champ Amanda Nunes.
Of course, it’s one thing to talk about it and another to actually scrap with “Lioness.” Credit to Shields, however, as she seems more serious than most boxers and has taken the first steps to making this crossover happen by learning how to kick. If the clip above truly is her first time throwing kicks, it’s a pretty solid first attempt!
There’s still a long way to go before Shields will be ready to step into the cage — learning those tricky takedowns and submissions takes a while — but it hardly seems like Nunes is going anywhere soon. Plus, even if it takes Shields five years to feel confident enough to make the crossover, she would only be 29 years old!
It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.

It’s my opinion that Kamaru Usman would be a real bad style match up for Dhiego Lima, but I would watch it in a heartbeat!
Jumping into the weekend like:
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Madaminbekov had a nice bounce in his step and seemed to have good control of the range before landing a cross right on the button.

That opening head kick definitely smacked Kim upside the head pretty hard!

Power wrestling!
SEA games wrestling standout Eko Roni Saputra (2-1) scores his first sub, rapidly grounding and strangling Cambodia’s Khon Sichan. The Evolve MMA rep has never left round one; expect ONE to push him hard in Indonesia. #ONEChampionship #WarriorsCode pic.twitter.com/2foblNPQMo

Midnight Music: The beat to “Numbers On The Board” is ridiculous in the best way, and few would be able to handle it like Push.
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
