Only Yoel Romero could do a backflip and the splits at 42-years old.
Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero had an unexpected dance off after their face off at the UFC 248 press conference.
The middleweight champion Adesanya and former interim title holder Romero squared off in Houston on Friday to promote their upcoming fight at UFC 248.
Adesanya started the dance off by showing some salsa moves to the Cuban Romero and that prompted the 42-year-old accomplished wrestler to impressively do a backflip followed by the splits.
Adesanya (18-0) won the UFC middleweight title by knocking out Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 in October of last year. “The Last Stylebender” will be looking to make the first defence of his title against Romero.
Romero (13-4) will be looking to get his first win in over two years against Adesanya. Losing a tough fought decision to Paulo Costa last year, Romero was also on the wrong end of a split decision against Robert Whittaker in 2018.
UFC 248 takes place next month, March 7th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Adesanya vs. Romero will headline the card.
