The UFC has announced a number of fights for their April 11th event in Portland, OR.
The UFC recently announced that the promotion was heading to the Moda Center in Portland, OR on April 11th. This will mark the first time the UFC has been back to Stumptown since 2016.
The main event for the card, which has been dubbed UFC on ESPN+ 30, was revealed to be Alistair Overeem (45-18) vs. Walt Harris (13-7). A welterweight clash between Vincente Luque (17-1) and Randy Brown (12-3) was also announced. Yesterday the UFC announced a number of other fights that are scheduled to take place on the card.
Among the new announcements is a strawweight bout that pits the 7th ranked Carla Esparza (15-6) vs. the 8th ranked Michelle Waterson (17-7).
Esparza, a former TUF winner and inaugural UFC strawweight champion, is currently riding a two-fight winning streak. Last September she bested Alexa Grasso in Mexico City and before that she spoiled the UFC debut of Virna Jandiroba.
Waterson heads into the fight off of a loss to former long-time champ Joanna J?drzejczyk. Before that loss Waterson had won three-straight; versus Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Felice Herrig and Cortney Casey.
The other fights announced for the card were:
Featherweight: Julia Avila (7-1) vs. Karol Rosa (12-3)
Middleweight: Alessio Di Chirico (12-4) vs. Abu Azaitar (14-2-1)
Lightweight: Tristan Connelly (14-6) vs. Alex da Silva (21-2)
Heavyweight: Dontale Mayes (8-3) vs. Rodrigo Nascimento (7-0)
