Atos black belt, Mike Perez has become the latest sign on for the highly-anticipated Polaris GP

Another name has signed on the dotted line for the highly-anticipated Polaris GP. While all eyes are on Kaynan Duarte, another challenger has joined the field alongside Patrick Gaudio, Adam Wardzinski and Freddie Vosgrone. Michael Perez, a black belt under Andre Galvao has become the latest participant to be announced for the tournament and he might just be a dark horse that can go far.

Michael Perez is a two-time ADCC North American Trials winner and a Kasai tournament runner-up who holds notable wins Dante Leon, Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan. Perez is unbeaten at Polaris and will be looking for revenge against Wardzinski and Gaudio who defeated him at ADCC 2019.

Perez will likely have to face much larger opponents on the night if he wants to make it to the finals.

Polaris 13 takes place on April 4th in Newport, Wales and will be aired live on UFC Fight Pass.
