Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has parted ways with heavyweight bruiser Juan Adams, after “The Kraken” got finished by Justin Tafa at the UFC 247 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Houston, Texas.
It was the third straight loss for Adams (5-3), who slugged his way into UFC by way of Dana White’s Contender Series back in summer 2018. The Texan certainly got off on the right foot, melting Chris de la Rocha at UFC on FOX 31, but it was all downhill from there.
Including his UFC on ESPN 4 loss to Greg Hardy.
“Spoke with the manager and I’m not in the UFC anymore,” Adams wrote on Twitter. “As easy as it would be to give up, I’m going to keep going. I made the changes too late and now I have to pay for that but i have the right pieces in place now. I will continue hoping and working for the best moving forward.”
Adams, 28, is one of more than eight fighters released this week.
