Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced its return to Dublin, Ireland, as the world’s preeminent mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion is official for Aug. 15, 2020 inside 3Arena for a special ESPN+ “Fight Night” card.
Local deity Conor McGregor is likely to attend.
“We kicked off the year with a phenomenal comeback from Conor McGregor at UFC 246, and now we are thrilled to announce our return to Ireland after four years,” UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, David Shaw, said. “With Irish fans amongst the most passionate UFC supporters in the world, and Dublin being such an iconic global city, we can’t wait to put on another world class event for our fans there.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 26, via Ticketmaster.ie.
UFC hasn’t been to Dublin since the UFC Fight Night 76: “Holohan vs. Smolka” event on the Fight Pass digital network, featuring the welterweight “Fight of the Night” between Darren Till and Nicolas Darby back in late 2015.
