Her current record is 51-0.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, became the first mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter to pass 50 straight drug tests administered by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
Her prize? An ugly letterman jacket.
“I think that is probably my biggest nightmare to have something come back like that because I spent my whole career making sure that I’m clean and making sure I work hard for it,” Holm, 38, told reporters (via KRQE.com). “That is my biggest nightmare because one thing that could happen, one picogram that doesn’t really do anything can really taint your whole legacy and have people question everything you do.”
Her teammates could learn a thing or two.
Holm (13-5) was last seen grinding out a three-round decision win over fellow bantamweight veteran Raquel Pennington at the UFC 246 pay-per-view (PPV) event last month in Las Vegas, Nevada, her first fight since getting put down by Amanda Nunes last summer.
“This shows and it’s what all of us know internally,” UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky said. “Is that Holly Holm is as much of a legend, a role model, a leader outside the Octagon as she is inside the Octagon.”
