Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, who also wears gold at 145 pounds, is expected to defend her featherweight title at the upcoming UFC 250 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., May 9, 2020 inside Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

That’s according to a report from Combate.

While a clear No. 1 contender has yet to be established, the promotion has four top featherweights competing at UFC Norfolk this weekend on ESPN+, with 145-pound upstart, Felicia Spencer, as the current frontrunner (thanks to this).

Nunes (19-4) has pretty much murdered the competition in both weight classes, racking up 10 straight wins with seven violent finishes. That includes knockout victories over Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg, and Holly Holm, just to name a few.

Headlining the UFC 250 extravaganza is the men’s bantamweight showdown between Henry Cejudo (champion) and Jose Aldo (challenger). Elsewhere on the card, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Mauricio Rua hook ‘em up at 205 pounds.
