Check out the second episode of Embedded for UFC 248.

UFC 248 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Israel Adesanya is shadowboxing in his room. He’s adjusting to the time difference. Instead of going to the Performance Institute right away, they just move some furniture in the room and have an impromptu training session there.

Over at the PI, Weili Zhang is arriving. She slept well, and is surprised by Vegas rain. Her coach talks about seeing her for the first time as she took on a coach that was over 50 pounds bigger than her, but she didn’t hold back at all. Her friend Li Jingliang, who is also on the card, believes that Weili will win by knockout. He then discusses his own bout against Neil Magny a bit, and is excited for the opportunity.

They show Sean O’Malley walking in, while Zhang explains that she’ll be all cut up in three days when she cuts the weight. She then shows her abs, which are already pretty damn defined. Zhang explains (in English) that her coach told her it would be a light session today, but she did 10 five-minute rounds. She says she’ll sleep really well tonight after that.

We get our first look at Yoel Romero in LA, who is doing some media in the car. He says Adesanya has his respect, because he’s old school. Over at TMZ’s studio, Paige VanZant of all people interviews him. He shows off the flying knee he used to decimate Chris Weidman in MSG a couple of years ago. He then holds the pads so another interviewer can try the same thing. Spoiler – it was awful.

Drakkar Klose makes his first Embedded appearance. He talks about his main card fight with Beneil Dariush, and says that it’s his time to shine. Things then move to a Porsche dealership with Adesanya. He says he’ll have a different car for each day of the week. He bought his dad a new BMW last year, and wants to get his mom a Porsche. He drops a Borat quote to close things out.

And that’s it! UFC 248 goes down this Saturday night in the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.
