Check out the midweek betting odds for Saturday’s UFC 248 card, where middleweight champ Israel Adesanya is favored over Yoel Romero in the main event.

UFC 248 is set to take place this Saturday, March 7th, from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The promotion’s middleweight crown will be up for grabs in the main event when the reigning king, Israel Adesanya, goes to war with the ever-dangerous, Yoel Romero. Before that, the co-main event of the night will get a strawweight title fight. The current champ, Weili Zhang, will look to defend her crown against the former queen, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Bloody Elbow is back to bring you the betting lines!

“The Last Stylebender” has been nothing short of spectacular in his rise to UFC glory, so why shouldn’t the oddsmakers favor him here? The current middleweight champion can be acquired straight up at a moneyline of -275. He’s a much bigger betting favorite here than he was against five of his seven UFC opponents. He clocked in at -340 against Rob Wilkinson, and at -500 versus Anderson Silva. This is a little surprising considering how explosively dangerous Romero has proven to be. Nonetheless, Romero is available in the underdog role, sitting at the +235 mark. Thus far, a moneyline of +205 has been Romero’s biggest closing underdog tag to date. That occurred in a split decision loss in his second fight with Robert Whittaker at UFC 225.

The bookies do not foresee the UFC 248 main event lasting an entire 25-minutes. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ owns a favored line of -195, with a +155 comeback on ‘Fight goes to decision.’ Both men are capable finishers here. Romero has finished seven out of his nine promotional wins. Adesanya has more UFC decision wins than he does finishes (4 decision, 3 finishes), but let’s be honest, he dropped Kelvin Gastelum so many times that that fight could have been justifiably stopped. Romero has only been finished once, and that was in Strikeforce way back in 2011. Adesanya is undefeated at 18-0. Will there really be a finish in the UFC 248 main event?

The UFC’s strawweight champ, Weili Zhang, is set for her first title defense since winning the crown, and is being backed by the bookies. Zhang can be scooped straight up at a cost of -170. As for the former title holder, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is back in a rare underdog spot at 115-pounds. Her moneyline is on deck at a value of +150. Technical volume has been Jedrzejczyk’s key to success throughout her career, but will she be able to handle the venomous striking that Zhang will be looking to throw back her way? No prop bets have been released yet for this matchup.
