Check out the sixth and final episode of Embedded for UFC 248.
UFC 248 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth and final episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Pretty much every episode of Embedded has started off at the Performance Institute. Weili Zhang is on weight 24 hours out. Her coach yells along to some music. Joanna Jedrzejczyk is at the hotel preparing for the final weight cut. Over to The Venetian, where Israel Adesanya is doing his cut as well. He’s also listening to music, and getting deep with the lyrics. He gets a bit emotional talking about past fights in Vegas.
Early weigh-ins time. Adesanya is first on the scale, and makes 184.5. Joanna stares down Weili as they wait. Zhang is 115. Joanna is 115. Their fight is official. Joanna can’t wait for the fight. Yoel Romero is last on the scale, but makes 185 with a towel.
Sean O’Malley watches his fight footage as he gets his hair braided. He thinks he got into his opponent’s head a bit.
Ceremonial weigh-ins. Tony Ferguson talks to some fans. Joanna gets a big reaction. Weili does too. They face off without incident. Adesanya and Romero are tense but respectful.
And that’s it! UFC 248 goes down in a few short hours in Vegas.
