Mike Perry feels he can be a UFC champion anywhere below 170 pounds.
With 11 out of 13 wins by knockout, Mike Perry can make a case for himself as one of the hardest hitters in the welterweight division. But he has so far struggled against many of his contemporaries, going 2-3 in his last five fights.
“Platinum” began his pro MMA career in 2014 as a lightweight, before moving up to the 170-pound division a year later. Now on a two-fight skid, he is made to wonder how his career would pan out if he fought below his current weight class. So far, he is liking his chances.
I could easily be champ if I could fight in any weight class lower than welterweight but I got too much power to get down there with you little guys

Shortly after, Perry’s tweet got a response from a top ten contender of his previous weight division.
What do you weigh right now?

Perry’s last knockout win happened two and a half years ago against Alex Reyes, which warranted him a Performance of the Night bonus. He last competed at UFC 245 last December and lost via first-round TKO to Geoff Neal.
