Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley are willing to fight in the UFC 249 main event.

UFC 249 could be on the verge of cancellation after it was reported earlier today that headliner Khabib Nurmagomedov is stranded in Russia due to coronavirus.

Several fighters are on tap as a possible replacement for the undefeated Dagestani, but former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington has a better idea: Covington vs. Woodley as the new UFC 249 main event — for free.

‘Chaos’ suggested the idea after ‘T-Wood’ called him out on Twitter.

“@ufc Me vs Qweefington April 18th unless Tony wanna roll back up to his Ultimate Fighter weight for the bag. WW bout won’t take no cheese out his LW macaroni,” Woodley posted earlier today before Covington responded via Instagram.

“The offer still stands @ufc. I’ll go full Teddy Roosevelt & beat the breaks off @TWooodley live from The @whitehouse lawn! Save sports and make it free on @ESPN for the people! Im in such a giving mood I’ll even arrange a tour of the oval office for Tyrone, since Obama never did.? #KAG2020.” – Colby Covington

The UFC, however, is looking to book Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje instead. UFC 249 is expected to take place on April 18 at a venue TBA, pending coronavirus.
