Jon Jones recently plead guilty for a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charge stemming from an arrest that occurred last week in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After cutting a deal with prosecutors that earned him one year of supervised probation, four days house arrest and community service, “Bones” apologized for his actions and vowed to address his use with alcohol.

Some, though, weren’t too surprised with Jones’ latest brush with the law, including Dominick Reyes, who lost to “Bones” earlier this year at UFC 247. According to “The Devastator,” Jones just can’t seem to get out of his one way, dubbing him a “habitual line-stepper.”

“The arrest comes at no surprise to anyone; his pattern of habitual line stepping is apparent,” Reyes told FanSided. “I think he needs some real help.”

Another one of Jon’s old foes recently expressed that “Bones” does indeed professorial help in a big way, as Daniel Cormier advised Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officials to intervene and help its light heavyweight champion.

Speaking of which, Jon is still holding the belt despite his latest transgression. But whether “Bones” is the champion or not, Reyes wants a another crack at obtaining UFC gold in his next fight.

“I still know I was the better fighter that night,” Reyes said. “I want a rematch, but if he is out of the picture, I feel I have earned another title shot.”

Assuming Jones isn’t stripped of his title anytime soon, he will more than likely face Jan Blachowicz once he’s able to return to action and COVID-19 dies down. But if Jones doesn’t return in a timely manner and is indeed stripped, Thiago Santos wants to tango with Reyes to see who will be the next man to sit on the 205-pound throne.
