Vote now in the Bloody Elbow’s Baddest Tournament to determine the Greatest MMA Fight of All Time. Today we have #4 Dustin Poirier vs. Korean Zombie VS. #5 Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje. Vote now!

It’s the red corner’s turn for today’s matchup in our BE’s BADDEST Tournament Series to figure out what is the single Greatest MMA Fight Of All Time — that one to watch before the world ends. Going at it will be the #4 ranked, Dustin Poirier vs. Korean Zombie and the #5 seed, Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje.

In yesterday’s tournament matchup, the #3 Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson 1 went to war with the #6 Nick Diaz vs. Takanori Gomi in a highly competitive affair. With a total of 20 votes, Jones vs. Gus 1 narrowly gets passed Diaz Gomi, who received 19 votes. Advancing on to Round 2, Jones vs. Gustafsson 1 will be facing the victor between an upcoming matchup featuring #4 seed Fedor vs Cry Cop VS. #5 ranked Wanderlei Silva vs Rampage 2.

For today’s matchup, we’ve got two classic bangers, both with late finishes…

Dustin Poirier vs. “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung was a gritty main event matchup for UFC on FUEL TV 3 way back on May 15, 2012. Poirier landed big punches throughout, but ended up getting rocked by Zombie in the fourth round, and subsequently submitted with a D’arce. This was a great fight with a definitive ending!

Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje took place at UFC 218 on December 2, 2017 and was litty city! As advertised, the two willing brawlers stood toe-to-toe, dishing it out just as well as they were taking it in — until somebody fell. This is definitely one of those ‘edge of your seat’ sort of fights. Plenty of damage was dished out by both men, but ultimately, it was Alvarez who landed a brutal knee to the face that dropped Gaethje and led to the follow up finish.
