Yesterday, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) gave you a sneak peak of the first promo for the upcoming UFC 249 pay-per-view (PPV) event on May 9, 2020 (see it here), and now it’s giving you the whole dish.
And it’s a well-made hype video that will get you pumped for what is sure-to-be a thrilling interim Lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. While their respective resumes speak for themselves, the highlights of the destruction they’ve both left behind is always great to see.
The extended promo highlights the entire main card, which will also see Dominick Cruz face Henry Cejudo for the Bantamweight title in the co-headlining act. Also Francis Ngannou will face Jairzinho Rozenstruick, Anthony Pettis takes on Donald Cerrone, while Jeremy Stephens collides with Calvin Kattar.
Furthermore, Greg Hardy gets his first taste of a pay-per-view (PPV) card as he faces off against Yorgan de Castro. The event — which is set to go down inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida — will be a closed door event.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 249 fight card below, starting with the ESPN+/Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN+/ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
