Tony Ferguson tops the UFC 249 salaries with $500,000.
Tony Ferguson might have suffered the most crushing loss of his career at UFC 249, but the former interim lightweight champion did walk away with $500,000, making him the highest earner of the night.
Justin Gaethje, who beat Ferguson via fifth-round TKO in the UFC 249 main event, earned a flat rate of $350,000 plus an added $100,000 in Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night post-fight bonuses. Ferguson also received a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus on top of his $500,000 salary, bringing the total to $550,000.
Ferguson’s $550,000 salary is a huge increase from his last publicly disclosed payout in 2018, which saw ‘El Cucuy’ bag $155,000 for his stoppage win over Anthony Pettis in the UFC 229 co-main event.
Check out the full UFC 249 salaries below, courtesy of the Florida State Boxing Commission (h/t Damon Martin of MMA Fighting). Please note that they did not separate show and win money, but it looks as if purses such as Anthony Pettis and Vicente Luque include their win bonuses.
