Thiago Moises picked up one of the biggest wins of his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) career, submitting Michael Johnson in the second round of their Lightweight scrap at UFC Jacksonville inside Vystar Veterans Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
After tasting some of “The Menace’s” strikes in the opening round, the Brazilian bomber decided a different tactic in the second round, blitzing toward Johnson as soon the round started. Indeed, Moises went straight in for the takedown, dragging “The Menace” down to the mat.
From there, Thaigo grabbed on to one of Johnson’s legs, never letting go until he had a good grip. After a brief tussle, Moises managed to sink in the heel hook, forcing “The Menace” to tap for dear life. The loss is Johnson’s third straight, leaving him at a crossroads in his MMA career.
