Tyron Woodley explains why Dominick Reyes was removed from the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Dominick Reyes is not happy about being removed from the UFC’s top-fifteen pound-for-pound rankings, and ‘The Devastator’ has taken out his anger on Tyron Woodley.
Despite never having won a title, Reyes, who dropped a controversial unanimous decision to Jon Jones at UFC 247, feels he should be ranked in the top-fifteen instead of Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion with four title defenses to his name.
On another note. How did I get bumped from p4p top 15 in favor of Woodley?! Dude didn’t even show up to his last fight. #wtf #UFC #p4p

“On another note. How did I get bumped from p4p top 15 in favor of Woodley?! Dude didn’t even show up to his last fight,” Reyes posted on Twitter last week.
Woodley, who was relieved of his championship duty after dropping a lopsided decision to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235, explained that, despite him being less active than Reyes, he’s still a much more accomplished fighter and thus more deserving of a spot on the P4P list.
Likely cause im a 5X World Champ & had a bad night. Sure u made honorable mention. People that are on the list usually dont focus on being on the list. Too busy chasing titles, redemption or defending. I’ve given you high praises. Dont knock me down to lift urself up. #BeBlessed https://t.co/08DPfm0S1u

The former UFC welterweight champion hasn’t fought since he lost the title to Usman last year. Woodley was expected to return to the cage against Leon Edwards at UFC London but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 38-year-old is now campaigning for a grudge match with Colby Covington on Fight Island.
