I guess the Mike Perry-Darren Till bromance is officially over.
There was talk of having them throw down at some point early last year; however, Till ended up leaving the 170-pound division to try his luck at middleweight. The move paid off, as “The Gorilla” was able to score an upset win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 in New York.
Not that weight is a problem for “Platinum.”
“If he wants to cut weight to 185, I’ll fight his ass at 185,” Perry told MMA Junkie. “I’ll try to put a couple pounds on, and I’ll be faster than him, and he’ll be a fat piece of shit. Fuck him.”
After that, Till’s mom can catch those hands (and other body parts) too.
“I wanna fuck Darren Till’s mom, too – fuck Darren Till,” Perry continued. “I want to fight Darren Till. I want to fight him, then I want to jump out the cage like Khabib (Nurmagomedov) did and jump-kick his mom in the face. Fuck Darren Till.”
I guess Perry is not a fan of that old Leon rule about no women, no kids. Neither was Jeremy Stephens, but that’s a different conversation for a different time.
The chance these two fight anywhere but in the street is unlikely. Till (18-2-1) is expected to collide with former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker this summer in Dublin and could put himself in line for a crack at Israel Adesanya in early 2021.
Perry (13-6), meanwhile, has dropped two straight and five of his last seven.
