A fun new meme for fans of The Shining because 1980 was a year to remember, I guess.
UFC light heavyweight slugger Jan Blachowicz, despite his place in the division rankings, understands he won’t be winning any “People’s Choice” awards for Best 205-Pound Contender, which is why he’s trying his damndest to run out the clock.
Simply put, Blachowicz wants to be at the top of the pile when Jones exhausts all other options, which in turn will force the promotion to book the next 205-pound title fight. Unfortunately for the Polish powerhouse, “Bones” hasn’t been taking the bait.
If at first you don’t succeed …
First you try to hide in jail, then you want to change a weightclass.
You are really doing everything you can to avoid your destiny but there is no place to hide Jonny.

This latest post may promote him to “Twitter Keyboard Warrior.”
Blachowicz (26-8) obliterated Corey Anderson in the UFC Rio Rancho main event earlier this year to score his third straight win, putting himself atop a very short list of 205-pound title contenders with a legitimate claim to the light heavyweight throne.
It helps that “Bones” has already eliminated the rest of the competition.
Rematches against Dominick Reyes and Thiago Santos are also on the table, but Jones may instead just bail on the weight class altogether after the promotion balked at his request to fight Francis Ngannou in the heavyweight division.
Time will tell.
