“You are really doing everything you can to avoid your destiny, but there is no place to hide, Jonny.”
With the Jon Jones-Francis Ngannou superfight seemingly dead in the water, top-three UFC light heavyweight Jan Blachowicz took the opportunity to insert himself back in the title picture.
Blachowicz called out Jones with the following hilarious meme taken from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.
First you try to hide in jail, then you want to change a weightclass.

“First you try to hide in jail, then you want to change a weightclass. You are really doing everything you can to avoid your destiny but there is no place to hide Jonny. Here’s Jan #LegendaryPolishPower,” Blachowicz posted on Friday.
Blachowicz is the former KSW light heavyweight champion and has cemented himself as one of the top contenders in the UFC light heavyweight division. The Polish powerhouse bounced back from his TKO loss to Thiago Santos in 2019 to rack up three straight wins over Luke Rockhold, ‘Jacare’ Souza, and Corey Anderson.
Jones, 32, is widely considered the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in the world and has one of the most impressive resumes in MMA, with wins over a who’s who of elite-level fighters. The reigning UFC light heavyweight champ last fought at UFC 247, where he edged out a unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes to retain his title.
