SUG 14 Results: Jones Taps Rocha, Primus Shocks Shields

Submission Underground was back on the UFC Fight Pass digital network on Sunday (May 31), featuring another stacked lineup of grappling all-stars including Craig Jones, who continued his winning ways with a submission victory over UFC veteran Vagner Rocha.

Bellator MMA standout Austin Vanderford, who upset the jiu-jitsu apple cart by submitting 10th Planet “Boogeyman” Richie Martinez back in April, was unable to capitalize on that momentum, falling to Gabriel “Zangief” Checco in second overtime.

Elsewhere on the card, longtime grappling veteran Jake Shields found himself tapping out to former Bellator lightweight champion Brent Primus. In addition, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu wizard Jordan Holy made quick work of Andrew Alexander with a nasty toe hold.
