Ian Heinisch has been cleared to compete and will fight Gerald Meerschaert at the UFC 250 pay-per-view (PPV) event tomorrow night (Sat., June 6, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Anthony Ivy, recently tapped to replace him, will remain on the roster and see action at a later date.

That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.

Heinisch was yanked from the UFC 250 lineup on Thursday morning after his cornerman tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the promotion to scramble and call in Ivy. That test, however, was later revealed to be a false-positive, clearing the way for Heinisch’s return.

Hopefully we can make it to the weigh ins without anymore shenanigans.

UFC 250 will be headlined by the women’s featherweight title fight pitting reigning division champion, Amanda Nunes, against top 145-pound contender, Felicia Spencer. Joining them are 135-pound co-headliners Cody Garbrandt and Raphael Assuncao.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 250 fight card on fight night, starting with the ESPN+/Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN+/ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
