Check out which fighters won performance bonuses from UFC 250: Nunes vs. Spencer
The Apex Fight Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC 250: Nunes vs. Spencer. The card saw five (T)KOs, two submissions and five decisions.
The seven-fight undercard was action-packed with four finishes and all four demonstrating a changing of the guard, with the young lions taking the place of the aging ones. There were also three solid decisions that saw Alex Caceres and Devin Clark show veteran savvy in their wins against very green opponents, and Cody Stamann outclassing Brian Kelleher from start to finish, ending in a lopsided victory he emotionally dedicated to his recently departed younger brother.
The main card had plenty of action with quick finishes from Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling (who cemented his claim to next title shot), as well as a massive knockout of Raphael Assuncao by Cody Garbrandt. Amanda Nunes thrashed Felicia Spencer from the jump, successfully defending her featherweight title. Spencer, while a game opponent, had absolutely nothing for Nunes, and took a massive beating as a result. Her corner, oblivious to the punishment she was taking, let her continue to get walloped all the way to the final horn, though. Amanda Nunes is, without a doubt, the women’s GOAT.
Performance of the Night: Sean O’Malley, Aljamain Sterling, Cody Garbrandt, Alex Perez
Herbert Burns (submission (rear-naked choke), 1:20 of round 1), Alex Perez (TKO (leg kicks), 4:06 of round 1), Maki Pitolo (TKO (strikes), 1:10 of round 2), Ian Heinisch (TKO (strikes), 1:14 of round 1), Sean O’Malley (KO, 1:54 of round 1), Aljamain Sterling (submission (rear-naked choke), 1:28 of round 1), and Cody Garbrandt (KO (right hook), 4:59 of round 2) all finished their bouts inside the distance. Four of these spectacular finishes would receive performance bonuses: Sean O’Malley, Aljamain Sterling, Cody Garbrandt, Alex Perez
