A battle of American Top Team training partners is reportedly set for UFC 252 in August. Per Combate’s report, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will take on heavy-handed contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik on the card that has yet to confirm its location.

Currently on a two-fight losing skid, with TKO defeats to both Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou, Dos Santos (21-7) is in dire need of a win. The 36-year-old’s last victory came in March 2019, when he TKO’d former title challenger Derrick Lewis after also beating Tai Tuivasa and Blagoy Ivanov.

In his last outing, back in May, Jairzinho Rozenstruik (10-1) suffered his first ever professional MMA defeat, when Francis Ngannou knocked him out in just 20 seconds. Before that, the 32-year-old was on a four-fight winning streak in the Octagon, with knockout wins over Junior Albini, Allen Crowder, Andrei Arlovski, and Alistair Overeem.

UFC 252 goes down on August 15, and is scheduled to be headlined by a trilogy title fight between the current champon, Stipe Miocic, and former title-holder Daniel Cormier.
