The bad blood between Conor McGregor and the Nurmagomedov clan has not calmed in the nearly two years since McGregor and Khabib faced off inside the Octagon. Even with McGregor retired and Khabib slated opposite Justin Gaethje, it seems that the feud only grows worse.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov is one of Khabib’s cousins and a UFC Welterweight. On Instagram, Abubakar mocked McGregor with the post below. The caption roughly reads, “This is when the coronavirus and you can’t breathe.”
Before getting to McGregor’s response, it’s absolutely bizarre that Abubakar would make a comment like this while Nurmagomedov patriarch and Khabib’s father Abdulmanap continues to fight a life-and-death battle as a result of the virus. Regardless, McGregor fired back:
Conor McGregor has claimed Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father’s battle with COVID-19 was a “coverup” to hide his “lack of activity” and “pulling out of fights.”

McGregor’s since-deleted reply reads, “I figured it was all just a cover up about Abdulmanap. A cover up to hide the lack of activity and the pulling out of fights and running away. Good luck but remember – Allah sees all!”
Safe to say, McGregor did not take the high road in the latest leg of this beef. It’s a bad look for both of the men involved in COVID-related trash talk, but as of right now, Khabib himself has not replied to the “Notorious” Irishman.
However, it’s hard to imagine him not taking this personally.
