“Kevin Lee is a f—kin monster. That would be one hell of a task if I got to that point.”

Khama Worthy might only be two fights into his UFC career, but that hasn’t stopped him from eyeing a future fight with Kevin Lee.

Worthy (16-6) stepped up on less than a week’s notice in his UFC debut to win by first-round stoppage Devonte Smith last August. “The Deathstar” proved the oddsmakers wrong again in his fight against Luis Pena at UFC Vegas 4, picking up a third-round submission win.

A big fan of “The Motown Phenom”, Worthy told MMA Fighting he would have to train harder than ever if he was to face Lee in the octagon.

“I don’t really like calling out top-10, 15 guys and sh-t like that,” Worthy said. “Of course, the guy who’s a f—kin savage who I’ve been a big fan of forever is Kevin Lee.

“Kevin Lee is a f—kin monster. That would be one hell of a task if I got to that point. To prepare for him, I’d have to go into the mountains for Kevin Lee. I don’t think that guy gets the credit he deserves. He’s a f—kin monster. He’s a freak of nature.”

Yet to be ranked at lightweight, Worthy will need at least a couple more wins before breaking into the division’s top fifteen. Lee is ranked in the top ten at lightweight but has lost three of his last four fights. The former interim title challenger said he might not fight for “a few years” after his most recent loss to Charles Oliveira in March.

“Obviously, guys like Poirier and Hooker, those type of guys. You get near either of them, it’s like, ‘Somebody’s gonna f*ckin die tonight.’ I like those types of fights. But now, I look at the guys that are more at my level. If I get two more wins, I might be able to make that jump—but I’d like to make it with the proper financial stability.”
