Featherweights Ricardo Lamas and Ryan Hall will clash at the end of August.
After their first pairing fell through because of the coronavirus pandemic, featherweights Ricardo Lamas and Ryan Hall are reportedly back on track to fight. Per Combate’s report, the pair originally set to meet in May is now headed to the UFC’s upcoming August 29 card, which is set for Las Vegas at the APEX facility.
In his last outing, Ricardo Lamas (19-8) lost by knockout to rising contender Calvin Kattar, back in June 2019. The loss came right after a TKO victory over Darren Elkins in November 2018. Before the win, however, the 38-year-old former title challenger was on a two-fight losing skid, with defeats to both Josh Emmett and Mirsad Bektic.
Still undefeated in the Octagon, submission ace Ryan Hall (8-1) will look for his fifth straight UFC win. In his last four fights, the 35-year-old bested Artem Lobov, Gray Maynard, B.J. Penn and most recently, Darren Elkins last July.
Now, Ricardo Lamas is expected to take on Ryan Hall at UFC Fight Night 178. A fight between featherweight contenders Zabig Magomedsharipov and Yair Rodriguez is not yet confirmed, but rumored to be the card’s headliner.
