Dana White says he ‘would do anything Khabib wanted to do’ for his last fight in the UFC.

Dana White seems to be warming up to the idea of a potential superfight between reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former UFC welterweight kingpin and pound-for-pound great Georges St-Pierre.

White had previously shot down any talk of Khabib vs. GSP but, speaking to ESPN in a recent interview, the UFC president said he would be willing to meet ‘The Eagle’s’ demands for his last fight in the Octagon.

“Sure. Yeah, it’s the last fight of his career,” White said when asked about the possible matchup (h/t Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting). “The guys been great. He’s been great to the company, he’s been great for the sport, and, I like Khabib Nurmagomedov a lot. I would do anything Khabib wanted to do.”

Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC) is planning to retire at 30-0, according to Dominance MMA head Ali Abdelaziz, so the St-Pierre fight could come as early as next year — pending the result of Khabib’s next two fights.

Khabib is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 255 to take on newly-crowned interim lightweight champ Justin Gaethje in a title unification bout. The highly anticipated pay-per-view will take place on Oct. 24 at a TBD location.
