For the second time in a week, a top UFC Heavyweight is featured in a commercial. Last time, it was fearsome Francis Ngannou pitted against a tiny little girl for a Las Vegas car commercial. This time, the situation has taken a turn towards the zany, as strap-hanger Stipe Miocic and his firefighting pals tackle mid-day fatigue and telekinesis with the help of some extra strong coffee.
Seeing as Miocic’s words are historically difficult to decipher, relying on screams, funny faces, and budget effects was perhaps the most efficient use of the Heavyweight champion. He could have danced another jig as well!
At any rate, Miocic is scheduled to settle his trilogy bout with Daniel Cormier at UFC 252 on Saturday (Aug. 8, 2020) inside UFC APEX from Las Vegas, Nevada. He may not be allowed to drink double-strong coffee prior to the fight due to USADA’s caffeine regulations, but maybe he’ll down a cup at the post-fight presser?
