Eire Born Spirits is worth a whopping €200m, per a recent transaction.

I think it’s safe to say that Conor McGregor never has to step into the cage again, as the Irishman is making more money from Proper No. Twelve than he is MMA.

That’s according to a recent report from Independent.ie, which states that Eire Born Spirits — the owner and promoter of McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey — is worth a staggering €200m ($234.9m), per a recent transaction with Mexican Tequila company Jose Cuervo Tequila.

Independet.ie’s Sean Pollock states that “the owner of Jose Cuervo Tequila, Becle SAB de CV, spent 1,531m pesos (€58.3m) when it acquired an additional 29pc stake in Eire Born Spirits”.

To put things into perspective, Jose Cuervo Tequila is the best selling Tequila in the world and the owners are worth a combined $5.1 billion.

McGregor, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, retired from MMA earlier this year but is still listed on the UFC’s official website as a ranked fighter. The No. 4-ranked lightweight hasn’t fought since his stunning 40-second TKO victory over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 246.
