Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 252.
UFC 252 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at the UFC Performance Institute. where Kevin Lee is rehabbing his knee. He talks to Daniel Cormier about it, and says he’ll be back. Cormier slides a body suit on and starts doing some cardio. Michael Chiesa is there, and he gives DC props and talks about buying the same shoes as him in his wrestling days.
Up in his hotel room, Stipe Miocic hits some pads. He comments about the small room resembling the smaller Octagon. His coach talks about the unique training for this fight. He gets a massage after, where his physiotherapist says he’s in much better shape for this fight. Miocic fakes back pain to try to scare him, but the guy doesn’t flinch.
Cormier goes to a golf center to look at golf stuff, continuing the story line from an earlier episode where he says he’s golfing a lot after retirement, even if he sucks. Spoiler – he still sucks.
It’s UFC 252 virtual media day. It’s DC and Sean O’Malley. Cormier has commentated all of O’Malley’s fights so far, and they talk about some of O’Malley’s game. Cormier says his game is all about evolution. O’Malley thinks he’ll knock out Marlon Vera and says that it’s more exciting than choking someone out. He also says he feels like the main event in every one of his fights.
Miocic sits down to a buffet dinner with his team. His coach talks about coming together for camps time after time, year after year, has really brought them together in a special way. They say a prayer before they dig in.
And that’s it! UFC 252 goes down on Saturday night in Vegas.
