Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight contender Jack Hermansson wasn’t that jazzed about fighting Darren Till for a spot in the 185-pound title chase but unfortunately for the submission-savvy Swede, matchmakers did not share this vision and instead paired him off against “The Gorilla” for Dec. 5.
And despite his success over the last few years, Hermansson opened as the betting underdog to his English rival, coming in at +110 (11/10) against -130 (10/13) for Till. That’s according to our fiscal friends over at BetOnline (www.BetOnline.ag).
Hermansson (21-5) is currently ranked No. 4 in the division and has now captured five of his last six, including last month’s first-round submission over Kelvin Gastelum. Till (18-3-1) also notched a middleweight victory over Gastelum, but went down on points in his follow-up fight to Robert Whittaker.
“The Gorilla” remains ranked at No. 6, sandwiched between Yoel Romero (No. 5) and Derek Brunson (No. 7).
