Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington was not impressed by the recent boycott from NBA players, who walked off the court and refused to participate in Wednesday’s playoff games to protest the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake.

“Oh wow, you postponed your games?!” Covington wrote. “Wanna prove you’re really about change? Quit your multi-million dollar jobs and soft privileged lives playing a kids game, take a massive pay cut and perform the toughest job in America. Become cops!!!!!”

Blake was shot in the back seven times by police last Sunday in Kenosha, Wisc., stoking the fires of political unrest in a country still reeling from the death of George Floyd back in May. Covington also called out LeBron James and MLB in his pro-cop tweet.

“I commend the players on the Bucks for standing up for what they believe in, coaches like Doc Rivers and the NBA and WNBA for setting an example,” former President Barack Obama said. “It’s going to take all our institutions to stand up for our values.”

Covington, who returns to the Octagon next month for a grudge match against ex-welterweight kingpin Tyron Woodley, is an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump and no stranger to online controversy, probably because it’s the only way he can get anyone to pay attention to him.
