Nate Diaz says Leon Edwards should keep his opinions to himself after getting ‘punked’ by Jorge Masvidal at UFC London.
Nate Diaz didn’t take kindly to Leon Edwards recent comments about the UFC ‘BMF’ title.
Edwards blasted Masvidal for suggesting a rematch with Diaz after ‘Gamebred’ ‘battered’ the younger Diaz brother in their BMF title bout at UFC 244 last year.
Edwards, who has been clamouring for a fight with Masvidal ever since their backstage scuffle in 2019, has accused the BMF champ of ducking him.
Diaz, however, says ‘Rocky’ doesn’t deserve to fight Masvidal after the Brit got ‘punked’ by ‘Street Jesus’ at UFC London.
The Stockton slugger even threw shade at Khabib for good measure.
You got fucked up in the back for acting like you were tight.
This fight shit is the same everywere, in or out of the cage… don’t get punked ever.
That goes for kabob also,
you guys are in last place now lol pic.twitter.com/DNuNLBNsj3— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) September 8, 2020
“You got fucked up in the back for acting like you were tight. This fight shit is the same everywere, in or out of the cage… don’t get punked ever. That goes for kabob also, you guys are in last place now lol,” Diaz posted on Twitter earlier this week.
Diaz hasn’t fought since his TKO loss to Masvidal at UFC 244.
As for Edwards, the 29-year-old is on an impressive eight-fight win streak but still doesn’t feel any closer to a title shot. The Team Renegade fighter is #3 in the UFC welterweight rankings.
