The line of fighters calling out Nick Diaz for an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welcome back fight is growing by the second. The latest to follow in the footsteps of Darren Till and Conor McGregor is “power-punching” Welterweight Mike Perry.
“Platinum” posted the challenge on his Twitter account, which included a lot of profanity-laced insults.
Everybody talking about the return of @nickdiaz209 like he looks tough or something. A skinny weakling like his lil brother, y’all both look like @mickeygall , @realroyce was the only guy ever good at that jitsu style. Florida jiu jitsu is on top ! #EastCoast

If you recall, Perry previously called out Nate Diaz, using the same “salt-and-pepper punching” analogy. And while a fight between Perry and Diaz would be a sight to see, I highly doubt the Stockton slugger would sign on for that fight for his potential return.
According to UFC president Dana White, though, all of this talk about a potential return of from the slugger from Stockton is all for naught. As for Perry, his own return to the Octagon is on pause right now after UFC revealed plans to put him on ice until he gets the professional counseling he needs after video footage surfaced of “Platinum” involved in a bar fight in Lubbock, Texas (see it here).
If and when both men return, does a Perry vs Diaz bout intrigue you?
