Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, makes her return to the Octagon against surging Mexican sensation Irene Aldana. Their five-round showdown tops the UFC Fight Island 4 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled TONIGHT (Sat., Oct. 3, 2020) inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. Elsewhere on the main card, which airs on both ESPN and ESPN+, 135-pound veterans Germaine de Randamie and Julianna Pena hook ‘em up for a spot in the crowded Bantamweight title chase.

Round 1: Hard left hook from Todorovic and some hard knees as Townsend ties up. Towensend with some body punches inside, eats a left hook on the break. Todorovic to the body in the clinch. Round 1: Low kick from Williams to start. Slowly advancing, lands a body kick, eats a leg kick. Imavov gets clipped by something, maybe a headbutt, and shoots while wobbled. He completes it, but Williams pops back up a minute in. Elbow by Imavov on the break. Both men bleeding from the clash of heads. Imavov tries a body kick. Good elbow as he’s taken to the fence. Two minutes in. They trade elbows as they separate. Imavov eats a left, lands a heavy counter right. 1-2-3 by Imavov. Nice exchanges with two minutes to go.
Imavov lands a step-in knee directly to the junk and Williams is in serious pain. After a couple minutes, he’s back on the attack. He immediately rocks Imavov with a straight left and cracks him with hammerfists as Imavov shoots on instinct. Williams defending on the fence. Good defense from Williams and he avoids a back take to shoot with under a minute to go. Imavov answers with a 10-finger guillotine, then converts to a power guillotine. Round 2: Williams tries a head kick, walks through some heavy counter rights. Knee and right hand by Imavov. They slug in the center. Low kick and right hand from Imavov. Right hook lands for Williams near the fence. Hard straight rights from Imavov. Williams takes him to the fence. Brief single-leg attempt. Brutal elbow by Imavov. Imavov lands as they break and they slug for a second. Now it’s Imavov changing levels, denied, lands an elbow and left hand. Big counter right. Uppercut-straight right. Left hook.
