Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
The two may be separated by a pair of weight classes, but the feud continues to escalate between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where the relationship between the two champions soured, but neither man misses an opportunity to take a potshot at the other.
After Israel Adesanya’s massively impressive win at UFC 253 over Paulo Costa (HIGHLIGHTS!), it’s no surprise that Jones responded to “Stylebender,” particularly since Dana White confirmed his interest in the potential super fight … one Jones doesn’t think is likely to happen.

In a since deleted comment, Jones wrote “but what? You’ve stepped into the ring over 100 times now and you’re still not ready!? You have a youth advantage and like four times the fighting experience. The truth is you’re already my pussy, you love being undefeated and you’ve seen what’s happened to everyone else. It raises your stock to mention my name, you’re aware of this. You don’t want real confrontation with me, I’m not gonna just stand there and kickbox with you. I’ve been preparing for Heavyweights, right around now I would literally tear one of your arms off.”
At the moment, there is no clear-cut No. 1 contender at 185 lbs., and Jones is still without a foe for his Heavyweight debut. Is the timing right for a clash between the two technicians?
Shameless Self-Promotion
I won y’all! It was hard-fought, rather ugly, and mildly controversial, but the Global Legion FC Flyweight title now resides in Sacramento. I have the complete recap fully written — which will also announce the banner winner — and it will be online within a day or two. Thank you again for all the support!
The full fight can still be purchased HERE!
Insomnia
That “Stylebender” guy is a pretty special fighter.
There are 19 fighters in UFC history with at least 11 knockdowns in the octagon.
None reached that mark as quickly as Israel Adesanya (9 fights)#UFC253 @stylebender

Francis Ngannou is working out with renowned boxing trainer Teddy Atlas, which is surely a good idea.
As suspected, not only big and powerful, but decent and smart. All the combinations to be a Champion. @francisngannou @Eric_XCMMA @Marquel_Martin #bang pic.twitter.com/INTuwzY0QE

Conor McGregor has agreed to a charity fight opposite Dustin Poirier … for whatever that’s worth.
Yeah lets go! Marquess of Queensberry Rules “Exhibition”?#chickendance https://t.co/ngI8VjgAXr

Juan Espino picked up a quality win this weekend at UFC 253 (watch it!), but this video of him Sengalese wrestling may be even cooler!
UFC 253’s Juan Espino competed with some success in Senegalese Wrestling (the sport Reug Reug is from) and became known as ‘The White Lion’.

Khamzat Chimaev wants Israel Adesanya, but Neil Magny is here to intercept the callout. I like that fight as a reasonable step up for “Borz!”
Borz is ready for the hunt and grab what belongs to him. @stylebender

Midnight Music: I liked this song previous to the film, but it’ll always make me think of Get Out.
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
