Arnold Allen will take on his most dangerous opponent to date when he meets Jeremy Stephens in November.
The November 7th UFC card in Vegas just got a little bit more interesting. A battle of featherweight standouts is set for the event, with rising prospect Arnold Allen booked to meet division stalwart Jeremy Stephens.
News of the bout was broken by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Allen (16-1, 7-0 UFC) has yet to lose in Octagon, going 7 for 7 over the last five years. His most recent win came over Nik Lentz via decision in January.
Stephens (28-18, 1 NC, 15-17 UFC) has lost his last four fights, with a No Contest in the middle of that stretch. His last outing saw him get stopped by the elbows of Calvin Kattar in May. Stephens also missed weight by over four pounds for that bout.
Allen currently sits at number eight at featherweight in the official UFC rankings. Stephens is in the nine spot.
The November 7th UFC event will likely be headlined by the twice-delayed light heavyweight bout between Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira.
