UFC newcomer KB Bhullar clearly shares Georges St-Pierre love for dinosaurs.
KB Bhullar, who makes his UFC debut against Tom Breese this weekend, has revealed a funny dinosaur addiction he had as a child, which his mom tried to (literally) smash.
The undefeated middleweight Bhullar (8-0) takes on Breese (11-2) on the UFC Fight Island 5 prelims. Bhullar was supposed to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series in November, but when Breese’s original opponent pulled out due to COVID-19, he got the call. Along with the call-up, the Canadian also signed a contract with the UFC.
Talking at the UFC Fight Island 5 pre-fight press conference, Bhullar revealed the unusual dinosaur addiction he had as a six-year-old child.
“I had a pretty bad dinosaur addiction when I was a child,” Bhullar said. “It’s a problem, the dinosaurs, we gotta keep our focus. I think I got really obsessed with them, my mum recognised that one day when I was watching Jurassic Park for like the sixth or seventh time.”
Bhullar then explained how a specific scene from Jurassic Park made him bite a cushion and throw it around, mimicking that of a dinosaur. This was when his mom had seen enough and decided to smash up his beloved Jurassic Park tape.
“She freaked out. She starts swearing and then she grabbed the cassette and started slamming it on the ground and stomping on it. This was probably the most mortifying memory of my childhood, I watched her destroy, at that time, the love of my life.
“The way I dealt with it was I went to the fridge after she calmed down and grabbed a minute maid container of like orange juice, and I went to the bathroom and I poured it on my head.”
His mother’s efforts to curb his dinosaur addiction didn’t end there. Watch the clip below.

“I watched her just destroy, at that time, the love of my life.”
