Ronda Rousey gets her turn to speak truth to hot wings with Sean Evans on ‘Hot Ones.’

If you’ve never watched ‘Hot Ones’ with Sean Evans, you’re missing out. What would otherwise be a milquetoast Q&A of your favorite celebrity turns into a candid, sweaty intimacy of gossip and tears. Don’t believe me? Check out the interviews with Key and Peele, Charlize Theron, Tommy Chong, and now…Ronda Rousey.

Rousey talks about a lot of things. Why Dragonball Z is different from other superhero stories; her biggest customer pet peeve when she worked at Home Depot (which boils down to ‘don’t be a dick about buying something without a bar code’); being prepared for zombies; and what constitutes the perfect armbar (it’s not always about the perfect technique, she’d argue).

“I remember watching the commentary of one of my fights and one of the commentaries was like, ‘She just needs to squeeze her knees a little bit,’” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Shut the f—k up. You don’t even know what you’re talking about. My armbar’s perfect. F—k you.’”

Her anecdotes reflecting on the UFC are not as juicy as one might hope. “With the UFC I always am very much about betting on myself. I care about the back-end. Pay me whatever you think is fair, all I really care about is having some stake in how well this does and I’ll make sure it does really f—king well.”

Which sounds about right. She did, after all, defend the Reebok deal.

Maybe the most interesting tidbit is the part about the awesome availability of workout routines on the set of The Expendables, that ‘helped’ her train. “Oh there were weights on set. They would literally be like, lifting weights, doing bands, and like, curling things in between takes. It was a cool little boy’s club to be a part of and I quite enjoyed everybody. I miss you guys. I remember we had this thing (where) we had to run up the roof a million times. I was in training camp the second time I beat Miesha’s ass. I was like ‘oh this is awesome. I can like, use this as my sprint for the day’.”
