Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business with the UFC Fight Island 5 mixed martial arts (MMA) event TONIGHT (Sat., Oct. 10, 2020) on ESPN+ from inside Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Headlining the overseas card will be No. 1-ranked bantamweight Marlon Moraes, who risks his spot atop the 135-pound ladder against No. 4-ranked Cory Sandhagen.

Moraes (23-6-1) has not competed since his split-decision victory over Jose Aldo at UFC 245 last December, a victory that actually sent “Junior” into a division title shot (peak MMA). “Magic” and his family were subsequently sidelined with coronavirus earlier this year.

As for Sandhagen (12-2), his seven-fight win streak — which included a perfect 5-0 record inside the Octagon — came to a screeching halt at the hands of Aljamain Sterling, who submitted the Coloradan at UFC 250 back in June.
