Despite his best efforts to call out anyone he can think of in both the Welterweight and Middleweight division, Khamzat Chimaev hasn’t been able to lock down another fight since knocking out Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds just last month.
Now, “Borz” is adding another name to his hit list as the undefeated (9-0, 3-0 UFC) wrecking machine has called out Nate Diaz to a fight. Indeed, Chimaev hijacked a back-and-forth between the Stockton slugger and Dustin Poirier to issue his own challenge.
“I don’t play fighting I fight so get your soft body to Vegas and I will smoke you on Dec. 19. You are a real fighter so let’s go,” wrote Chimaev on Twitter.
It seems the entire 170-pound weight class has been taking turns calling each other out, but unfortunately it hasn’t lead to any fights getting booked. Diaz hasn’t competed in over a year and was recently called out by Dan Hooker to a fight in a division of his choosing.
To that challenge, Diaz proposed a catch weight bout of 165 pounds.
Still, there are a ton of intriguing matchups just waiting to be made at 170 pounds, so UFC matchmakers should have no issues finding willing participants seeing as how it seems everyone is eager to fight.
None more than this guy.
