While it’s not the hoe-down she was hoping for, strawweight fan favorite Angela Hill will have a chance to avenge a previous loss when she collides with fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 grad Tecia Torres at the upcoming UFC 256 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.
That’s according to a report from MMA Junkie.
After rattling off three straight wins and working her way into the division Top 15, Hill (12-9) dropped back-to-back contests to 115-pound mainstays Claudia Gadelha and Michelle Waterson, though both split decisions could have easily gone in favor of “Overkill.”
As for Torres (11-5), she managed to hold onto her spot on the strawweight roster by turning away Brianna Van Buren at the UFC on ESPN 11 event back in June, a performance that snapped a four-fight losing streak for the 31 year-old “Tiny Tornado.”
Torres decisioned Hill at UFC 188 roughly five years back.
UFC 256 will feature the women’s featherweight title fight between reigning 145-pound champion Amanda Nunes and top division contender Megan Anderson. Elsewhere on the card, Petr Yan defends his 135-pound strap against bantamweight bruiser Aljamain Sterling.
