Cody Stamann has been forced out of his fight with Merab Dvalishvili.
The search has started to find a replacement for Cody Stamann who has been forced out of his fight with Merab Dvalishvili at UFC event on December 5th.
Adjara Sport first reported the news and Dvalishvili confirmed it on his Facebook account. Stamann did not test positive for COVID-19 despite the initial report stating he had the virus.
Dvalishvili (12-4) is undefeated in his last five UFC fights. The Georgian has fought three times this year, winning decisions against the likes of John Dodson and Casey Kenney.
Stamann (19-3-1) was hoping to return to the octagon and get back to winning ways after losing a decision to Jimmie Rivera in July. The 30-year-old has moved between bantamweight and featherweight in his last few fights, with his last win coming against Brian Kelleher.
The UFC event on December 5th, which is without a current location, will be headlined by a middleweight fight between Darren Till and Jack Hermansson.
