Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will say goodbye to one of the greatest fighters to ever lace ‘em up when former middleweight champion Anderson Silva competes for the final time of his storied mixed martial arts (MMA) career against 185-pound striking sensation Uriah Hall. Their five-round showdown is scheduled for the UFC Vegas 12 headliner TONIGHT (Sat., Oct. 31, 2020) on ESPN+ from inside APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, not long after co-headliners Andre Fili and Bryce Mitchell collide for a spot in the featherweight title chase.

Round 1: High kick and low kick from Moises to start. Green checks the next low kick. Glancing head kick lands for Moises. Green lands a straight left. Body shot after taking leg kicks. He tries a combo on the fence. STraight left connects. Moises shoots behind a punch, takes Green to the center and dumps him there. Green slips out the back door and takes north-south two minutes in. Moises turns to his knees and Green grabs a front headlock, separating with a knee. Knee stomp from Green. Straight left lands. Two minutes to go.

2-1 from Green. Moises tries a front kick downstairs. Green with a 1-2 downstairs. Hard 2-3, eats an overhand from Moises that appears to hurt Green’s eye. One minute to go. Green with a left downstairs. Moises tries a flurry, takes a front kick downstairs. Good exchange in the center. Another snap kick from Green to the body. Green with a combo and teep. 10-9 Green.

Round 2: Green slips a big right in the early going. Moises nearly catches him leaning with a knee, does catch him with a head kick. He walks into a right hand. Green sends out some body kicks, then shoots. He kicks Moises’ base out to land on top a minute in. Moises makes it up, takes a short knee and elbow. He turns to the rear waist lock Moises falls back for a leglock, switching from a heel hook to a straight ankle lock. Two minutes in. Green manages to get his foot out and they stand. Sending out jabs against the fence. Right hand to the body. Moises looking a little tired, stuck on the fence and taking body shots. Two minutes to go.

Another right hand to the body. Moises answers a left body shot with a hard right hand. Oblique kicks from Green. Check hook connects as Moises tries to open up. One minute to go. Low kick from Moises. Slow-looking wheel kick attempt. Sending out counter rights that look dangerous. Green tries a jumping knee, takes a right hand. Another counter right by Moises. Close round. 10-9 Green.

Round 3: Moises willing to throw with him in the early going. One minute in. Counter right by Moises. Body and low kick. Straight left from Green. They trade in the center. Another straight left and oblique kick. Two minutes in. Green still picking at the lead leg, eats a counter right. Green sending out straight lefts. On the counter. Moises looking aggressive, putting together combos. Head kick just misses with two minutes to go.

Green steps into the clinch with double unders and takes Moises down. Moises stands, reverses against the fence. Green tries to counter with a kimura and ends up on the bottom. One minute to go. Moises looking for the back as Green tries to hit the switch. He manages to stand and separate. They trade punches until the bell. 10-9 Moises.

155 lbs.: Chris Gruetzemacher vs. Alexander Hernandez

Round 1: Gruetzemacher opens with leg kicks. Hernandez tries to anwers in kind, takes a right hand. Head kick attempt from Hernandez. Combinations, sending out kicks. More kicks from Hernandez as he circles. Body jab, heavy 1-2. Low kick a minute in. 2-3. Heavy right cross upstairs, then catches Gruetzemacher leaning with a head kick. Hard left hook rocks Gruetzemacher and Hernandez pours it on against the fence, putting “Gritz” to sleep.

Final result: Hernandez def. Gruetzemacher by KO (punches)


135 lbs.: Adrian Yanez vs. Victor Rodriguez

Round 1: Rodriguez shoots in the opening seconds, taking Yanez to the fence. Yanez defending with an underhook, takes a knee adn they jockey for position. Yanez tries a trip, then separates a minute in. Front kick attempt. Counter 2-3. Rodriguez shoots under punches, denied. Hard right from Rodriguez into the clinch. They trade right hands and Rodriguez gets the worst of it. Two minutes in. Yanez stalking, firing heat through Rodriguez’s guard. Straight right sits Rodriguez down, but he pops back up to land a two-piece. Another right hand, slips. Yanez responds with a lengthy combination, capping it off with a left high kick that puts “Vicious” down.

Final result: Yanez def. Rodriguez by KO (head kick)


185 lbs.: Sean Strickland vs. Jack Marshman

Round 1: Strickland advancing, Marshman circling. 1-2 lands for Strickland as he takes a leg kick. Marshman low kicks a minute in. 1-1-2 from Strickland. Marshman overhand falls short, check hook does not. Low kick connects. Two minutes in. Strickland 1-2, Marshman left hook. They trade low kicks and Strickland blasts him with a two-piece. Marshman leg kick met by a jab. They exchange with two minutes to go.

More jabs from Strickland met by a 2-3. Right hand to the body. Heavy combination against the fence, goes low-high with straight rights. More body work. One minute to go. Marshman falling short with much of his return fire. Strickland front kick, takes a jab downstairs. Both land heavy in the waning seconds. 10-9 Strickland.

Round 2: Strickland back on the advance, sending out jabs. 1-1-2 connects. One minute in. Good body kick, stiff jab. Clean 1-2 upstairs. Marshman now looking to press forward, forced back with jabs. Another body kick from Strickland. Body shots land for Marshman two minutes in. 1-2 from Strickland after a lengthy lull. Jab exchange. Two minutes to go.

More clean jabs from Strickland. As usual, Marshman coming up short with his own offerings. One minute to go. They exchange lefts. Strickland leaning out of range. 1-2. 10-9 Strickland.

Round 3: Strickland continuing to work behind the jab. 1-2-1 from Strickland. They trade lefts. One minute in. 1-1-2. Marshman throwing with him, unable to connect. Counter right from Strickland. Marshman just can’t deal with the length. Two minutes in. 1-2 from Strickland. Another. Marshman with a nice sequence of body shots. Strickland keeping up a running commentary. Two minutes to go.

1-1-2 knocks Marshman back. Impressive chin on display by the Welshman but he’s thoroughly outclassed. Strickland tries a head kick, takes a left hook to the body. One minute to go. Jabs from Marshman, good little flurry. Strickland waves him off and they trade. Counter left from Strickland. Both swing big in the waning seconds. 10-9 Strickland.

Final result: Strickland def. Marshman by unanimous decision


170 lbs.: Cole Williams vs. Jason Witt

Round 1: Witt immediately ducks in for a single-leg, then switches to a double for a slam against the fence. Immediately looking for the back, one hook in. Williams manages to regain half guard a minute in. Now full guard. Left hands from Witt. Two minutes in. Good elbow. Continuing to chip away. Two minutes to go.

Williams offering nothing off his back so far and is now split open by a nasty elbow. One minute to go. Another nice elbow by Witt. 10-8 Witt.

Round 2: Williams on the advance, Witt throwing more strikes. Body kick from Witt. He shoots, carries Williams to his corner, and slams him down. One minute in. Full mount for Witt, now the back. Back to mount and there’s the arm triangle. It’s over.

Final result: Witt def. Williams by submission (arm triangle choke)


205 lbs.: Dustin Jacoby vs. Justin Ledet

Round 1: Jacoby switching stance, opens with kicks. Jab from Ledet, eats low kicks. Counter right stings Ledet. One minute in. Jacoby sending out body kicks. Teep connects. Ledet checks a leg kick, lands jabs, tries a combo. Low kick and right cross from Jacoby, who eats a pair of clean 1-2s in return two minutes in. Jacoby comes back with three brutal low kicks, sending Ledet to the canvas. He’s unable to finish Ledet off on the ground, so he instead lets him up and sleeps him with an uppercut.

Final result: Jacoby def. Ledet by KO (punch)


135 lbs.: Miles Johns vs. Kevin Natividad

Round 1: Low kick from Johns to start. Counter right appears to land. He changes levels for a reactive single-leg. One minute in. Unable to get it and they separate. Stiff jab lands for Johns. Another. Two minutes in. Natividad tries to jab the body, eats a leg kick. 1-3 from Johns. The next single-leg works, but he doesn’t establish. Two minutes to go.

Trading jabs upstairs. Johns getting the better of it. Natividad tries to counter a leg kick with a right hand, has to deal with another reactive takedown. They separate with a minute to go. Yet another jab from Johns. Natividad tries a combination. Short overhand right finds its mark, met by a jab. Natividad body shot. He avoids a jump knee. 10-9 Johns.

Round 2: Teep lands for Johns. Natividad trying to push forward. 3-2 falls short and he eats jabs in return. One minute in. Cross counter from Natividad. Johns runs the pips with another reactive single. Natividad pops back up. Short elbows two minutes in. Ref separates them and they trade jabs. Natividad lands a right hand and kick to the body. Two minutes to go.

Natividad tries a flying knee and avoids a single-leg. Johns stings him with some jabs. Leg kick from Johns. One minute to go. Natividad tries a double-leg, denied. Johns responds with a spinning back fist. Natividad looks for the body, tries to open up against the fence and gets hauled to another side. Closer round. 10-9 Johns.

Round 3: Good cross counter from Natividad. Coming forward aggressively this round, walks into a left hook after seemingly slipping. Another cross counter by Natividad. Combination. One minute in. Trading jabs. Johns with more jabs, takes a right downstairs, lands a left. Good low kick. Reactive shot from Johns two minutes in. Grinding against the fence. Natividad briefly considers a power guillotine, then gets knocked spark out by an uppercut while trying to separate. One and done.
