Uriah Hall will face Anderson Silva in the headlining act of this weekend’s (Sat., Oct. 31, 2020) UFC Vegas 12 main event inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada in what will be Silva’s retirement bout after a long and storied career.
Before Hall attempts to send “The Spider” off into the sunset with a loss, let’s take a trip down Memory Lane to see just what kind of skills “Primetime” will be bringing with him to the Octagon.
Back in 2015, Hall face Gegard Mousasi in what was the first of two meetings between the two talented Middleweights in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 75 in Saitama, Japan. In the first round, Mousasi pretty much dominated the entire five minutes by keeping Hall down, delivering some punishment in the process.
In round two, however, things took a drastic turn just five seconds in after Hall unleashed a jumping spin kick that clipped Mousasi, putting him on shaky legs. Uriah immediately followed it up with a flying knee that dropped “Dreamcatcher.” He then proceeded to pile on the ground-and-pound, and while Mousasi tried his hardest to hang on, the referee ultimately had no choice but to put an end to the fight.
Hall has only managed to go 3-4 since — which includes a loss to Mousasi in the rematch — but he is looking to extend his current win streak to three with a win over the former Middleweight champion and ex pound-for-pound great.
