The UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC Vegas 12: Hall vs. Silva. The card saw five (T)KOs, four submissions and three decisions, including a split-draw.. The card saw five (T)KOs, four submissions and three decisions, including a split-draw.

The prelims opened with a battle between Miles Johns and Kevin Natividad that ended with a third-round TKO of Natividad when a nasty uppercut stopped him cold. That was followed by Dustin Jacoby snagging a first-round TKO of Justin Ledet, and Jason Witt submitted Cole Williams in round two with an arm triangle. Sean Strickland looked like he never took a moment away from the octagon, even though it’s been two years since his last fight. He outclassed Jack Marshman in all three rounds, scoring a lopsided unanimous decision for his effort. Adrian Yanez looked sensational in his promotional debut, showcasing his outstanding boxing and getting a first-round knockout off a head kick-punches combination. Alexander Hernandez made short work of Chris Gruetzmacher, starting with a huge head kick and a big uppercut that dropped Chris. He finished with a few more big punches. Time: 1:46 of round 1.

The main card opened with a thrilling fight between Bobby Green and Thiago Moises, but the judges saw the fight different from literally everyone with a pair of eyes, and despite Green looking very much the victor, they awarded the unanimous decision to Thiago Moises, stopping Green’s Cinderella run. Kevin Holland was piecing up Charlie Ontiveros, then grabbed him in a modified body lock, kicks out his feet, slammed him down crazy hard, and then we hear a yell and the ref stopped the fight. It’s been 4 minutes and Ontiveros is still on the mat waiting for the stretcher. Holland than picked a fight with Adesanya who was sitting just outside the cage. Pipe down, Kevin, you beat a rando, not a contender or even a hot prospect. Greg Hardy beat Maurice Greene via second-round knockout. The co-main event was a fun scrap between Andre Fili and Bryce Mitchell that ended up with “Thug Nasty” taking the unanimous decision.

The main event was a slow-mover up until the latter half of round three when Hall, largely inactive to this point, managed to land a huge right over the top and dropped Silva, who was saved by the bell a couple seconds later. The fourth round was all Uriah Hall, who dropped Silva again, following him down and bouncing his head around until Herb Dean intervened. Silva had moments where he looked sharp, but if I never see him fight again, it will be too soon.

Performance of the Night: Miles Johns, Adrian Yanez, Alexander Hernandez, Kevin Holland

Miles Johns (KO (uppercut) at 2:50 of round 3), Dustin Jacoby (TKO (punches) at 2:38 of round 1), Jason Witt def. Cole Williams (arm triangle at 2:09 of round 2), Adrian Yanez (KO (punches and head kick) at 2:46 of Round 1), Alexander Hernandez (TKO (punches) 1:46 of round 1), Kevin Holland (verbal submission at 2:39 of round 1), Greg Hardy (KO (punches), 1:12 of round 2), and Uriah Hall (TKO (punches) at 1:24 of round 4) all finished their respective fights before the bell, but it would be Miles Johns, Adrian Yanez, Alexander Hernandez, and Kevin Holland that would take the $50K bonuses.

Fight of the Night: None

Sean Strickland (30-27 x3), Thiago Moises (29-28 x3), and Bryce Mitchell (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) all went the distance in their respective bouts, but none would take home a bonus.
